Trio of Cables – New Pattern

The Trio of Cables Cowl (or Scarf) pattern is now available on Ravelry.

This project is made out of soft and dreamy Juniper Moon Farm Fourteen. Even though the yarn label suggests it is a worsted or Aran-weight yarn, I treated it more like a bulky in this pattern and it worked beautifully. If you substitute another bulky yarn, make sure it is rather light and airy. Otherwise, the piece could become a little heavy.

Trio of Cables Cowl

This cowl features three braided cables and an i-cord edging. A provisional cast on is used so you can work a three-needle bind off at the end. The i-cord edging helps prevent the work from curling while leaving a clean, St st edge. It can be made as a scarf by adding length and using a standard cast on and bind off.

And for the ultimate tactile experience, might I suggest using Crystal Palace Bamboo 9″ Single Points? The smoothness of the bamboo against this delectable yarn is to die for.
